What if I stayed?

17 May

My head on your chest,

Your kiss on my mouth,

Stroking,

Smoking,

Gently,

Roughly,

Calm.

You whispered a question,

I frowned.

My hands on your neck,

Your lips on my down,

I wish I had stayed for life,

But I couldn’t help the qualm.
